KASEY CHAMBERS ANNOUNCES BACKBONE TOUR 2025
ARIA Hall-of-Famer and revered singer songwriter Kasey Chambers has today announced her massive BACKBONE Australian TOUR, ahead of the release of her thirteenth career album on October 4.
The 30-date tour will commence on January 23 at Tamworth Town Hall as part of the Tamworth Country Music Festival. It then extends across capital cities and regional centres in NSW, VIC, SA, WA, NT, QLD and TAS over 5 months signaling Kasey’s family tradition of traversing the country in her truck and caravan to bring her world-class live show to all corners of Australia.
“And now, my favourite part of my ‘life in music’ falls into place…THE LIVE TOUR. In 2025, we will be embarking on the ‘BACKBONE TOUR’ for the first half of the year throughout Australia. Celebrating my new releases Backbone (the album) and Just Don’t Be A Dickhead (the book of profound lessons I’ve learnt through the years), my full band and I will be visiting songs throughout my career that shaped who I am”, Kasey said.
A quarter-century into her solo career, Kasey is still finding new ways to tell her story. At a time when she could easily rest on her laurels and rely solely on goodwill and nostalgia for the rest of her days, the beloved singer, songwriter instead chose to launch herself into one of her most ambitious projects to date. She recently unveiled an exciting suite of new material – her book Just Don’t Be A Dickhead…and other profound things I’ve learnt (Hardie Grant Books), a collection of stories and experiences gathered up over the years, which in turn has informed and inspired her new album Backbone.
Never one to shy away from home truths, introspective storytelling and unfiltered honesty, Chambers’ distinctive brand of writing weaves through both the musically-versatile Backbone and the thematically-versatile Just Don’t Be A Dickhead…and other profound things I’ve learnt.
Don’t miss this very special opportunity to join Kasey as she showcases new material from Backbone for the first time, along with her much loved hits, all masterfully delivered alongside her heartfelt stories . “I can’t wait to be sharing some new songs along with my old favourites, and the stories and secrets behind where they came from, like never before. For me, the BACKBONE TOUR already feels like the live soundtrack to my life.”
